About Myco-Mind

Myco-Mind brings together three mushrooms for the brain and a steady mood: Lion's Mane for the brain and nervous system, Oyster for mood and a clear mind, and Reishi for calm and vitality. We use the whole, domestically sourced organic fruit bodies of each and prepare them together as a spagyric tincture.

The formula

Greater than the sum of its parts.

Each of our formulas starts with an intention. Every mushroom carries its own affinities, and we choose each one for what it brings on its own and for how it works alongside the others. Prepared together through the spagyric process, the species support one another, and the finished formula becomes greater than the sum of its parts.

Myco-Mind was crafted for the brain and a steady mood. Lion's Mane brings its affinity for the brain and nervous system, Oyster adds its support for mood and a clear mind, and Reishi, the solar tonic, grounds the formula in calm and vitality.

What sets us apart

Why our extracts are different

The part of the mushroom used traditionally.

The part of the mushroom used traditionally.

We start with the mushroom itself, U.S. grown or wild harvested, never mycelium on grain. A tincture can only be as good as what goes into it.

A Complex Whole Mushroom Extract.

A Complex Whole Mushroom Extract.

Alcohol draws out the compounds water leaves behind, like triterpenes and sterols. Hot water draws out the water soluble beta glucans. We run both, so the finished tincture carries both.

Mineral salts returned.

In the final spagyric step, we recover the mineral salts from the spent mushroom and return them to the tincture, so the extract is completed with the mushroom's own minerals.

Questions? Here are your answers

Some people notice a difference right away. For most, the benefits build over 2 to 4 weeks of daily use.
A tincture is quick to take and easy to adjust. Take it under your tongue or add it to a drink. Our spagyric tinctures carry the alcohol soluble, water soluble, and mineral parts of the mushroom in one bottle.
Many people take our extracts alongside other supplements. If you take prescription medication, are pregnant or nursing, or have a medical condition, check with your healthcare provider before adding a new supplement.

Earthy and mild, with a little bitterness from the Reishi. It mixes easily into coffee, tea, or juice.

Keep it in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Best if used by the date on the label.
Yes. Every batch is tested by a third party lab for microbes. We also test for pesticides, heavy metals, and identity on a skip lot schedule, and we confirm the identity of every raw material when it arrives.
Not yet! While we have tested multiple rounds of tinctures, we have experienced inconsistency with current labs and methods. The Megazyme protocol, typical for beta glucan assays, was initially designed for yeast, and the method is for powders. It is a destructive method that gives general beta glucan content, but does not distinguish between beta glucan types. It also is not effective in most cases for liquid extracts, and most labs process them inconsistently. As for secondary metabolites, there are currently no validated methods for secondary mushroom metabolites on the market. We have preliminary data on quality we are happy to share, but we will not publish COAs on metabolite profiles until we are confident in the information that is being represented.
