Reishi is a woody, shelf like mushroom with a glossy, lacquered cap, and one of the most valued mushrooms in East Asian herbal traditions, where it is known as Lingzhi. We use the whole, domestically sourced fruit body and prepare it as a single mushroom spagyric tincture.
Take it in the evening on its own, or add it to a cup of tea.

Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) is a shelf fungus that grows primarily on hardwood trees, with a glossy surface that gives it the moniker varnish conk. It is one of the most revered mushrooms in China, where it is called Lingzhi and often referred to as the 10,000 year mushroom, or the mushroom of immortality.
It appears in the Shennong Bencao Jing, the oldest surviving Chinese materia medica, among the superior herbs taken over long periods to nourish vitality and the whole person. It has long been used as a tonic for calm, restful sleep, and a long life.

The Sun
Reishi is associated with the Sun. Its shining conk radiates from deep red at the center out to a soft white growing edge, and it touches nearly every center of our vital nature: the heart, the immune system, and the nervous system.
Not a fan of taking it straight? Our extracts have a strong, earthy taste. Add a dropperful to water, coffee, tea, or a smoothie instead.

We start with the mushroom itself, U.S. grown or wild harvested, never mycelium on grain. A tincture can only be as good as what goes into it.

Alcohol draws out the compounds water leaves behind, like triterpenes and sterols. Hot water draws out the water soluble beta glucans. We run both, so the finished tincture carries both.
In the final spagyric step, we recover the mineral salts from the spent mushroom and return them to the tincture, so the extract is completed with the mushroom's own minerals.
Bitter and earthy, true to the mushroom itself. Add it to coffee, tea, or juice if you'd like to soften it.
